1. Who these terms are with
Chatge is operated from Malaysia by [LEGAL OPERATOR NAME], [REGISTRATION NUMBER, IF APPLICABLE], at [BUSINESS OR SERVICE ADDRESS]. In these terms, ‘Chatge’, ‘we’ and ‘us’ mean that operator. Contact: [SUPPORT CONTACT].
These shared terms are intended for Chatge services that expressly link to them. Product Details explains differences between products. A product-specific term takes precedence only for the matter it expressly addresses; mandatory legal rights always remain in place.
This version is a review draft with no effective date. It is not an agreement offered for acceptance. Viewing it, signing in or using a demo does not amount to accepting this draft.
2. Eligibility and account security
Proposed account rule: you must be at least 18 and have legal capacity to enter these terms. If acting for a business or channel owner, you must have permission to do so. You must also meet each connected platform's eligibility rules.
Keep account and workspace information accurate. Protect your devices, provider accounts, invitations and overlay links, and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for actions you authorize and for managing the access you grant to your team.
3. Connected accounts and permissions
Connect only accounts and channels you own or are authorized to manage. Provider authorization lets the applicable Chatge service use the permissions you approve for the enabled feature. A platform permission does not itself grant another Chatge user access to your workspace.
Review the destination and action before sending a message, replaying an alert or changing stream settings. Delivery can be delayed, rejected or uncertain. Check the result before retrying an action that could be duplicated.
You can use available disconnect controls or revoke access through the platform. Disconnecting, signing out and deleting stored data are different actions. Their effects and current limits are explained in the Privacy Policy and Product Details.
4. Using Chatge responsibly
Use Chatge lawfully and follow the rules of connected platforms. Do not:
- Access another person's account, channel, messages or workspace without authorization, or bypass permissions and security controls.
- Use the services for spam, fraud, harassment, exploitation, unlawful discrimination, malware or unlawful content.
- Publish another person's confidential information, infringe intellectual-property rights or use viewer information for an unrelated purpose without a lawful basis.
- Interfere with availability, evade rate limits or collect data through unauthorized scraping or bulk extraction.
- Share private access links, session credentials or provider tokens with people who are not entitled to use them.
5. Your content and other people's data
You keep the rights you hold in content you submit. You give us a limited, non-exclusive permission to receive, store, transmit, format and display that content only as needed to provide, secure and support the services you use, subject to the Privacy Policy. This does not transfer ownership or give us a general advertising license.
You must have the necessary authority for content and personal data you provide. A channel owner does not acquire ownership of viewers' messages merely by using Chatge. Where you decide how viewer data is used, you are responsible for the notices and legal basis your activity requires, including team access, exports or public overlays.
Viewer messages can reach Chatge through a connected platform even if the viewer has no Chatge account. These terms do not treat those viewers as accepting a contract with Chatge simply by chatting on another platform.
6. Platforms and third-party services
Twitch, Kick, StreamElements and other integrations have their own terms, privacy practices and availability. Chatge is not those services and does not control their content, authorization decisions, API changes or outages. An integration does not imply endorsement.
Your instructions can send messages, stream information or other content to the selected platform. Public broadcasts and overlays may be recorded, copied or redistributed by others. Review what is displayed before going live.
7. Development versions, reliability and pricing
A demo uses sample or simulated behavior unless it explicitly says otherwise. Draft, beta and staging services can be incomplete, change or become unavailable. Do not rely on them as your only archive of messages, moderation evidence or important settings.
We do not promise uninterrupted operation, a complete chat history or delivery of every provider event. Retention and recovery limits must be read in the applicable product details.
This draft does not introduce a paid plan, subscription, automatic renewal or billing authorization. If paid features are offered later, price, taxes, billing period, cancellation and applicable refund terms must be disclosed before purchase. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
8. Chatge software and branding
Chatge and its licensors retain their rights in the services, software and branding. Subject to the applicable terms, you may use the services for their intended purposes. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licenses. Nothing here restricts rights those licenses or applicable law give you.
9. Suspension and ending use
You can stop using Chatge and disconnect integrations. Contact [SUPPORT CONTACT] for account closure or [PRIVACY CONTACT] about personal data. Closing an account does not automatically remove material already sent to a platform, shown on a broadcast or independently retained by a channel owner.
We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address a material breach, security risk, abuse, legal obligation or loss of a required provider permission. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue. Urgent action may be necessary to protect people or the service.
Retention after closure must follow the approved Privacy Policy and applicable law; suspension is not permission to retain data indefinitely.
10. Warranties and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, development versions are provided as available, without a promise that they are error-free or suitable for every purpose. This does not exclude warranties or remedies that the law requires.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or removes mandatory consumer or data-protection rights. Each party remains responsible to the extent required by applicable law.
11. Applicable law and resolving concerns
Proposed governing law: the laws of Malaysia. If mandatory protections in your place of residence apply, this choice does not take them away or prevent you from using a court, regulator or dispute process available under mandatory law.
Please contact [SUPPORT CONTACT] so we can try to resolve a concern. You do not have to wait before exercising a legal right or meeting a legal deadline. This draft does not require arbitration or waive class, collective or representative proceedings.
12. Changes and language
An adopted version must display its effective date and version. Material changes will be communicated appropriately before they take effect where required, and fresh agreement or consent will be obtained when applicable law requires it. Publishing a changed page alone is not blanket consent to a new use of personal data.
English and Bahasa Melayu drafts are intended to align. Discrepancies must be corrected and cannot override mandatory rights. The Privacy Policy explains data handling; it is not a request for blanket consent.
